Movement has always been my life. I was an elite rhythmic gymnast and made it to the Junior Olympics, and a back injury there ended my career. What followed were hard years: depression, anxiety, PTSD, and eating disorders.
At nineteen I found movement again, and in the truest sense of the words, fitness saved my life. It was the biggest gift I've ever received, so I left my acting career to become a personal trainer and share it. That was eight years ago.
Six years ago I found kettlebells, and the whole equation changed. They're the one tool that trains every quality (strength, endurance, mobility, power, and speed), and they made me feel like a total badass. I stopped counting calories burned and started counting how much more I could lift.
My mindset shifted to becoming stronger, not thinner.
When I felt for myself — and then watched in client after client — how strength work can shift what the body has been holding, it sparked my devotion to trauma-informed weightlifting and somatics. Today I coach with data-driven, individualized programming and one mission: to give women and athletes, current and retired, the support I never had.
