Hi, I'm Michelle. I built this for the girl I was.

Movement has always been my life. I was an elite rhythmic gymnast and made it to the Junior Olympics, and a back injury there ended my career. What followed were hard years: depression, anxiety, PTSD, and eating disorders.

At nineteen I found movement again, and in the truest sense of the words, fitness saved my life. It was the biggest gift I've ever received, so I left my acting career to become a personal trainer and share it. That was eight years ago.

Six years ago I found kettlebells, and the whole equation changed. They're the one tool that trains every quality (strength, endurance, mobility, power, and speed), and they made me feel like a total badass. I stopped counting calories burned and started counting how much more I could lift.

My mindset shifted to becoming stronger, not thinner.

When I felt for myself — and then watched in client after client — how strength work can shift what the body has been holding, it sparked my devotion to trauma-informed weightlifting and somatics. Today I coach with data-driven, individualized programming and one mission: to give women and athletes, current and retired, the support I never had.

How We Train

Five ways to work with me.

One flagship, and four focused paths around it. Every one is 1:1, individualized, and built on the same principle: you leave each session stronger and more yourself than you walked in.

The Flagship

1:1 Kettlebell Coaching

Real technique, periodized programming, and skills you actually master, not just exhaustion. From your first deadlift to swings, get-ups, presses, cleans, and snatches, in that order, for a reason. For women learning the bells from scratch or rebuilding from injury.

Why kettlebells work

Youth Athletes · Ages 11–18

Give her what I didn't have.

Sport-agnostic strength and movement, periodized around her season. I was a young athlete who broke down because no one built the foundation underneath her, so I built the program I wish I'd had. There's a real method here, and a real reason it keeps kids on the field longer.

In their words.

Michelle Young has literally changed my life. She has improved my relationship with my body, how I move, my strength, and my balance, and she has ended my knee, hip, and back pain. I feel a mastery over my body that I have never had before. Each week I see her is a bright spot in my life.

I feel safer and more secure in the world with her in my life. I trust that my body, in her care, will keep getting better despite aging. She is earnest, kind, dependable, and always encouraging, and she goes above and beyond in more ways than I could have imagined. Michelle truly lives up to the nickname I gave her: "Best Trainer Ever!"

I began training with Michelle concerned about right-shoulder pain that limited my range of motion and declining strength. She crafted a structured plan that worked the muscles without over-stressing the joint. My range of motion has markedly increased and my discomfort went from a 7 out of 10 down to a 2. I believe I'm on the road to complete recovery.

My fourteen-year-old plays club soccer. She used to cry before games because her knees hurt. Eight weeks of strength work and she's asking me to drive her early so she can warm up. That's a different kid.
